EV Lens1. Acceptance of these terms
By downloading or using EV Lens, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app. Because EV Lens is distributed through the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where it conflicts with these terms for the app itself, Apple’s terms prevail.
2. The service
EV Lens is a vehicle-information tool that identifies vehicles from your camera and presents technical, market and environmental information. Some information is generated or estimated using models and third-party sources and is provided for general information only.
3. Accounts
Some features require an account, which you may create using Sign in with Apple. You’re responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for activity that happens under it. You must be old enough to hold a valid Apple ID in your country to use account features.
4. Subscriptions & billing
EV Lens offers auto-renewable subscriptions — Pro and Professional, each available monthly or annually — that unlock advanced features.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Renewal charge: your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage & cancel: you can manage or cancel in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period continues until it ends.
- Restore: previously purchased subscriptions can be restored from Profile → Plans & Subscription.
- Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region and over time. Any price change is disclosed as required by the App Store.
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies. [If you offer a free trial, describe its length and conversion here.]
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service: no reverse engineering except as permitted by law, no attempts to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to our systems, no scraping or bulk extraction of our data, and no use of the app where doing so would be unsafe or unlawful. Never operate EV Lens while driving.
6. Data accuracy & environmental estimates
Vehicle specifications vary by model year, factory, market and configuration. We show source context and confidence where available, but we don’t warrant that every figure is complete or current. Lifecycle CO₂ figures and break-even distances are modelled estimates based on stated assumptions — they are not guarantees and shouldn’t be relied on as the sole basis for a purchase or regulatory decision.
7. Intellectual property
EV Lens, its name, logo, software and original content are owned by [Legal / company name] and protected by law. Manufacturer names and model names are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app under these terms.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer, which remain unaffected. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app or reliance on its information.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. We’ll update the date above and, for material changes, give reasonable notice. Continuing to use EV Lens after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [Germany], without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. [State venue/jurisdiction if you wish.]
